Faye Smith first contacted me back in June 2009. Although Faye enjoyed being outside, she had no real exercise experience and had never really taken any consistent structured exercise. As with everyone I meet and work with, everyone has their own individual barriers to exercise and Faye was no exception. Faye had a very stressful job and worked extremely long hours, as the Land Lady of The Globe Inn, Sampford Peverell. Where along with all the temptation of food, sweets, fizzy drinks and alcohol, Faye had no time for exercise and her energy levels were very low. Initially our goal was weight loss, as Faye was getting married in February 2010, so as well as focussed training, I also analysed Faye’s diet. Faye adjusted really well to her new lifestyle and structured exercise and soon her energy levels were sky high. In September 2009, Faye completed a 10K Run, something she never thought would be possible! By the time the wedding came round, Faye had lost a total of 2 stone and looked absolutely beautiful on her big day! Faye has now moved to Cornwall but we are still in regular contact and she continues to maintain her healthy lifestyle. Faye has now entered the Bristol Half-Marathon Sept 2010- what an inspiration!
