Exeter Living Magazine - Feature

I contacted Exeter Living in May 2009 and they very kindly agreed to write a feature on my business. The article focuses on how I started the business and what makes my business so different in such a competitive market. Unlike so many Personal Trainers, I am not associated to a Gym, instead I choose to travel to clients’ homes, work or local parks- places where they feel relaxed and able to get the most out of every session without feeling intimidated.  “Gyms are great, but sometimes they can put people off. There can be a competitive element to them, that upsets a lot of people”. As I am a mobile service, I provide all my own equipment. I really get to know all my clients’ on a personal level and this really helps to fully understand their lifestyle. Although I focus mainly on fitness during our sessions, much of my nutritional work is done from a distance for example ’Food Diary Analysis’.  “Nutrition is so important, what is the point of training so hard, only to undo all the good when you get home?”

Whether training a seasoned exerciser or a complete beginner, the approach would be completely different but both are equally as rewarding!
